Lancaster, Calif. – (Dec. 9, 2019) – The Los Angeles County Air Show “Aerospace Valley, USA®” presented by Lockheed Martin will hold a volunteer information meeting for the March 21-22 Air Show at the Learn 4 Life facility, 177 Holston Ave, Lancaster at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

This is the first of several volunteer meetings to be held, and will include detailed information about the various volunteer positions for the 2020 Los Angeles County Air Show “Aerospace Valley, USA®”. Updates regarding additional “in the air” performers, “on the” ground static displays, STEM exhibit and the Hero’s and Legends speaker panels will also be provided to those in attendance.

Betty Evans, Volunteer Manager, commented, “I started out volunteering at the first LA County Air Show over five years ago. This is an amazing event on so many fronts, and working alongside the passionate and talented volunteers makes this event one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences. The 2020 show is shaping up nicely, and promises to be one of the most exciting air shows ever hosted in the Antelope Valley, or as so many of us call it “Aerospace Valley”. If folks love this community, love air shows and love to be part of something truly inspiring, I encourage them to join us for this volunteer kick off meeting”.

Organizers for the 2020 event anticipate needing several hundred volunteers. Volunteer positions include hospitality, FOD (Foreign Object Debris) monitoring, ticketing, parking and more. Volunteer applications will be available at the December 12th meeting.

Evans went on to say, “Our dedicated volunteers are the foundation of our Show. The LA County Air Show would not be able to carry on without them. Volunteering at the LA County Air Show is a wonderful way to make new friends, see old friends, give back to the community; and volunteering looks great on a resume!”
